History Has Been Made.....

The date was November 4th, 2008 at 10:00pm.......my husband and I were in the living room watching the presidential race when history was made. It doesn't matter what are political beliefs are, but the people spoke and we have the first African-American President !!!! History alone has changed because we elected a man that was not a WASP !! This will be in the books for our children and their children and so on......I'm glad to be alive to see this moment ....... we all should be.

*And on a side note - we find out that baby number two is a BOY!! I'll blog later.

Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!! Tonight was a blast....and our son finally enjoyed the holiday. Last year he was to small and cried for an hour when a ghost scared him. So this year I helped my husband pick a costume and told our son that we would be going door to door saying, "trick-or-treat". So we all got dresses up and I was waiting by the door when I looked down at my son to see the look on his face; and he looked so excited to go that we headed out into the neighborhood.....so we went to the first house and I held my breath....a ghost pooped out of the door and I just looked at my husband and thought oh no!! But our son did GREAT!!! he just smiled and pulled at the ghost costume. I'm glade and hopeful that next year will be even better!! Once again Happy Halloween Bloggers!!

Sad News

Well family and friends we went to the doctor and had our ultrasound, but the baby was in the wrong position to see if it was a boy or girl. I was sad I had my heart set on finding out the sex, but I can wait until my due date which is Feb.19. But the good news is my husband is coming home from NTC and he's getting a 4-day weekend!! That's great because I need a break from my troll of a son [he,he,he] my son is great but I need the extra hands to help out. Also I've been hitting the gym hard this week I would say I've been going 5 days a week for 2 hrs.so I can stay fit and start running again. But that's all for now I need to feed my troll before he trashes the living room.

Vacation Time !!!

Well you can guess from the title it's vacation time!!!! I know it's been a while since my last post but I've been busy with day to day life. I'm happy to say that I'm 5 months along and we are looking forward to finding out the sex of the new baby, and once again my husband will be in the field and will miss the ultrasound again. Some times I feel bad for my husband because he has missed out on our first son and his life and now he is missing out with our second child, but I realized that's this is his job and we both signed up for this job...ie.... being married to the military. But what can I do???
Anyhow ~ lets get to business....it's vacation time and I'm back home {Texas} to get much need rest and to spend much need time with family. But how do you balance family, in-laws, friends, military pals in two weeks, and I'll I want to do is rest and take my son to the pool. I've been kind to all that have called and wanted to go out, hang out, have non-alcoholic drinks, have diner and go shopping. I'm feeling over-loaded and I hate answering my phone, but I'm trying to be nice to everyone. But I'm hitting that point right now, and I'm trying to keep cool but I'm in need of advice. I'm all ears...

Getting back to the week.....

HELLO Bloggers....... It's been a few days from my last post. Let's see....... I'm happy to say that I'm 17 wks along this Friday and in late October we'll find out what the sex is of the new baby!!! I've been busy with getting my son registered at CYS and looking for a part-time coaching job. Which leads me to....getting down to business......why is it when you go to CYS and register your child there is always something you are missing? I was down there today and my son need a HEP # 3 shot, and I said,"OK can I get the shot and come back to finish up?" And the very, very nice lady with gold rim glasses said,"why of course you can darling!" OK - so we are driving to the hospital and of course, looking for a parking spot is like looking for snow in the desert, but then the heavens open up and I find a close spot. I then load up my son and ALL of his stuff so we can head to the ped. clinic with out a mishap and upon getting there I seeing NO waiting in the clinic. I smile to myself and think today is a pretty good day!!! But then, I talk to the LPN and the shot my son needs is on back order until December!!!!!! WHY, WHY, WHY!!!! Will you can guess what happens next.....I have to drive back to CYS and let them know that the shot is on back order and to PLEASE wavier the HEP #3 shot until December......and that sweet lady said three simple words that made my day "SURE I CAN." So now, I'll finish the week and get back to a new week all over again. I need a vacation.

Left over....

Can someone explain to me why military wife's use other military wife's as left over friends? We had a combined battalion meeting and I was looking for a seat in a very small, hot, and smelly room, and this wife came up to me and started chatting.......and I brushed it off. The funny thing about this encounter is.....this wife sees me once a month and says no more then two word to me at a time, and now she wanted to chat because she counter-apart was missing? I'm not really fond for being a left over friend when your "other" friends left you by yourself. I feel that if you want to build a friendship then you should make the time when others are around and when they are not. But how likes left overs anyhow.....

Military Wife

I was sent an email that talks about "us" military wife's......I laughed, cried, and was very happy to know that other wives like myself are always feeling the pinch of moving, meeting new people, and learning new jobs when we PCS with our husbands. And the best part is we know that we are strong, fearless, loving, caring, and a Jake-Of-All Trades.....and our kids see it all. That's the best because we are teaching the next generation to stand on their our through thick and thin.
